My name is Soor Gul. I am an Afghan who grows up in a refugee’s camp in Pakistan. My family moved to Pakistan when I was5year old. The refuge comp was in a very far desert in Northwest Pakistan. My Father was teacher in schools for Afghan children and I study in that school for ten years.
In 1992 after fallen Dr Najib Government my family decides to go back to our homeland Afghanistan.
We went back to Afghanistan. And start life with lots of new hopes from begging. But very soon erupted fight between Mujahedeen leaders again there. We did not move back to Pakistan, and decided to continue living in our village with lots of problems. My father did not find Job to support our family. So when I was 17 I stopped studding in started working as labor. But continue Privet study with my daily work. I studded Pashto literatures, Islamic books and Afghanistan history.
In 1998 when Afghanistan was under Taliban’s control I went back to Pakistan to find work. So I find work in a local newspaper whit very low salary. But it was enough for me and my family which was still in Afghanistan and did not moved back to Pakistan with me.
In 2002 when changes cam in Afghanistan I turn to Kabul in start work with local media in Kabul as Journalist.
After that, I fond contact with foreign Journalists and some of international media agencies which are working on currents affairs.
I can not write and speak English Correctly but I am good in translating from English to Afghanistan’s languages Pashto/Dari.
So in 2005 I received offer from an European company which is working for Afghanistan to work with them as a translator from English to Pashto / Dari outside from Afghanistan in a European country, and I accepted because for a good Salary.
Since more then tow years I am living in Europe. But have very close contact with Afghanistan currents Affairs.
I am one of few Afghans who are living legally by working Visa in Europe and do not want to have citizenship of European country and really want to go back after expiration of my Job contract with this company.
I am personally one of those Afghans who are supporting and backing international community struggles and working for Afghanistan. I believe that with out western aid and help we are not able to rescue our hijacked country from international terrorists and extremists.
When I came to Europe I noticed that here is a very big misunderstanding about Afghans and Afghanistan. Most of western people think that Afghanistan is the father of extremism in the world. They think that Afghans only know how to fight? How to kill? And how to bee came a Talib?
When some one asking me where you from? I am answering that I am from Afghanistan they just looking me as a suspected person.
I am accepting that now the soldiers from 35 countries fighting against terrorism in Afghanistan. But who knows the terrorists who fighting in Afghanistan are Afghans? Is there any evidence that an Afghan was involved in terrorist’s attacks outside of Afghanistan?
As an Afghan I believe that Nearly 30 year’s war in Afghanistan was not war for Afghanistan. It wasn’t planed by Afghans. But Afghanistan and Afghans are misusing in this war.
First western powers used Afghanistan and Afghans against Soviet Union. And after that they left it in for civil war between Islamist leaders of mujahedeen who were created by western and Arab countries against Soviet Union.
During this civil war the Islamic extremists find Afghanistan as a safe haven for their activities.
So I will try to write about real Afghanistan and Afghans in this weblog. I will try to write about my self as an Afghan who grows up in war. I will write about those millions afghans who just only asking for foods and they never want to change the world. They do not know what is Democracy? What is extremism or Talbanisem?
They just say: leave as to live and have foods. The always every morning and evening praying for peace and their country. They do not know what is going on in their homeland.
So I will try to write about these people in my poor English. If this weblog change the mind of only one person about Afghanistan so it s mean that I got my goal.
